WSN Knowledge Base is a web script which you will install to the web host of your choice. If you don't have a web host, WSN recommends Dream Host. If you have access to the server you want to check out, upload autosetup.php and visit it in your browser to get an automatic evaluation. It will evaluate your server before prompting for installation, and you don't have to do the installation.

Server requirements to use WSN Knowledge Base:

  • PHP 5.1.0 or better
  • MySQL 3.2 or better

Recommendations for full functionality:

  • Either GD 2.0+ or ImageMagick
  • Either fopen URL wrappers or cURL

Additional low-priority recommendations for an optimally smooth and easy experience:

  • PHP in suPHP/CGI mode
  • MySQL 4.1 or better
  • Linux or Unix operating system

Depending on your goals, you might want:

  • ffmpeg for video conversion to FLV (Flash player)
